Steve Wozniak Apple co-founder Hopes That Bitcoin Will Become a Global Currency

Cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin (BTC) have been expanding during the last years. There are more and more places where individuals can spend their favourite digital currencies. But they are far from becoming global currencies or something similar. Apple’s co-founder, Steve Wozniak, said that he hopes that Bitcoin will become a single global currency in the future.

Some months ago, Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, make some bullish comments about Bitcoin. He said that he believes that BTC will become the single global currency in 10 years. And now, Mr. Dorsey has a new supporter, Steve Wozniak.

During an interview with CNBC, Wozniak commented:

“I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it’s going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking.”

Wozniak is not the first time that is involved in cryptocurrencies or gives comments about Bitcoin. Back in May, he commented very positively about bitcoin and blockchain technology. He said that he has a very positive outlook on blockchain and virtual currencies because they can change many different areas and industries all over the world. AI Trader 300x215 - Steve Wozniak Apple co-founder Hopes That Bitcoin Will Become a Global Currency

Moreover, he explained that cryptocurrencies and distributed ledger technology will be releasing their full potential in ten years. Additionally, back in February, he said that he has been stolen 7 bitcoins because the buyers cancelled the credit card payment.

“I had seven bitcoins stolen from me through fraud,” he commented to CNBC. “Somebody bought them from me online through a credit card and they cancelled the credit card payment. It was that easy. And it was from a stolen credit card number so you can never get it back.”

As mentioned before, virtual currencies are trying to become international currencies. Bitcoin is one of the most popular currencies to pay in different shops and stores. But there are also others that have be adopted by many merchants, including Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which offer faster transaction times and smaller fees than Bitcoin.
